Sephora’s challenge was deceptively simple: improve the customer experience by deploying design and technology to increase product display and basket size, particularly in smaller store formats.
Our solution, Sephora Flash 3.0, introduced a host of retail innovations, from near-field communication to virtual baskets, designed to put customers in control whether sampling, browsing or buying from the full selection of 150 brands and 14,000 products they stock. Through the use of such innovative technology, Sephora are encouraging new customer behaviours and creating a new purpose for their stores around convenience, offers and education. In turn this has created opportunity for new fulfillment and purchase models of click & collect, digital basket and shop & ship.
