Over a two-year partnership, collaborating with senior stakeholders as well as the incumbent architects, Start Design was tasked with creating a robust brand that would bring Hamad International Airport to life. One of the largest and most luxurious airports ever built, we helped position, brand and launch the full airport experience in line with the national plan set out in Qatar’s 2030 Vision.
‘Prestige and Effortlessness’ are at the heart of our solution and influenced the brand experience at every touchpoint – from its positioning as the ‘Gateway to the World’, to the contemporary identity execution and application, which combines the idea of continuous global travel around the central Arabic star.

With passenger numbers now exceeding 30 million, Hamad International Airport is consistently ranked in the Skytrax top 10 airports in the world and has been awarded the Middle East’s Best Airport on numerous occasions.
